Marian Cramer Projects, Central Server Works and Gross Magazine invite you to the Opening party on the occasion of Marian Cramer Projects and Central Server Works collaborative exhibition ‘Thought Forms’ and Gross Magazine’s inclusion in Paris+ par Art Basel.

Marian Cramer Projects and Central Server Works are excited to present the collaborative group exhibition ‘Thought Forms’, taking place at 80 Rue de Turenne from October 17 – 22, 2023 during Paris+ Art Fair. The exhibition, the gallery’s second collaboration after a two person exhibition at Central Server Works in Los Angeles, brings together an international group of artists by each gallery’s program.

According to the book’s teachings, thoughts and emotions create distinctive patterns of color and form in the human aura—visible only to those who are gifted with a sufficient degree of clairvoyance and can see beyond our normal perceptions. Using the idea as a jumping off point, the exhibition acts not as a homage to the book but a critical and aesthetical analysis of the way artists speak to the idea that thoughts and emotions create distinct patterns and auras in their work. The artists in the exhibition utilize their practice to place a lens on thoughts and emotions in varying ways, key to all the artworks exhibited is the exploration of this through materiality.
